Coaching is helping an individual bring about a positive change to unlock and maximise their personal or professional potential.
We believe that everyone has unique talents and strengths that can be leveraged to achieve career success. Our coaching style is collaborative and solution-focused, and we use a variety of tools and assessments to help clients identify their goals and develop action plans.
Coaching is not counselling or a therapy. Coaching is predominantly ‘present and future’ focused, seeking to improve future performance and potential of an individual.
Welcome! to CalmSpace - Corporate Coaching, mentoring and counselling, we here to support you in discovering and realising your true potential.
Please reach us at if you cannot find an answer to your question.
The greatest impact for you as a Client will be when you have already considered a topic for discussion or a goal that you aspire to before you commence as this will help give you and the coach the clarity of a desired outcome for your coaching session. Consider the things that are real to you, this may be personal or professional and will often be where you are wanting to see a positive change in the future. It could be something that is proving difficult to talk about within your organisation or beyond. The Coach will not come with a predefined agenda or preference to what you will talk about
As you progress in your coaching partnership, you should feel safe in your conversations with your coach, it should be a natural, positive conversation where you feel that there is no judgement.
Coaching and mentoring have many similarities in that they are usually conducted in 1:1 conversation and are focussed on how things might be different in the future than they are now. However, there are several key differences between the two interventions. Coaching is typically focussed on the development of the Client as an individual and is often goal centric, helping increase self-awareness, learning and performance through personal insights and outcomes experienced and originated by the Client. The Coach acts as a facilitator to these personal outcomes through conversation and questions posed to the Client.
Mentoring is often a longer process in which the Mentor will bring industry or sectoral experience to help provide advice to an individual on personal and possibly wider organisation goals. Additionally, mentoring typically involves knowledge exchange between a more experienced person helping a Client who may not have the experience or knowledge needed to achieve a desired outcome.
We make sure that every Client is aware of confidentiality in the Coach-Client relationship, this forms an essential part of the Coach-Client Agreement. Every Client should feel safe in the relationship knowing that what is discussed in the coaching session will not be disclosed to any individual outside of the Client-coach relationship. The Coach should also make the Client aware he/she will not disclose Client personal information, including names, email address or other contact details to any third party.
The Coach will seek to build trust in the relationship and at all times the Client should be in allowed to decide what they want to share with the Coach in the coaching session. Confidentiality should persist indefinitely beyond the engagement with the Client.
